Hi, and welcome to my website. I want to help you set the mood at your social event . . . be it a dinner at your place with just a few guests, a birthday party with lots of people, a company function, a wedding, an anniversary.... whatever it is you’re planning. I'm Derek Bean. I’m a jazz pianist. I'll play smooth jazz music on your piano, or if you haven't got one I'll supply my own keyboard and amplifier, and bring you beautiful, relaxing background music that'll have your guests making lots of positive comments.
If you're thinking you'd like more than just a pianist .... a jazz duo or trio perhaps, we could add a double-bass player for more depth of sound, not to mention a classy look! Then we could add a drummer to make it the classical jazz piano trio (think
Oscar Peterson, Keith Jarrett...)
Then, if you'd like a vocalist too, no problem. What I'm saying is that we can tailor-make the group to suit your tastes!
